DRAGONBALL SOURCE IS BACK ONLINE!!!!
Feb 3rd 2012 - Posted By Nagash
It's been a few years since we went offline, but the community is still out there, gamers are still playing Drgaonballl Source and despite all the bugs that the beta still has, they are enjoying it. The community might not be the size it once was, but I felt that it deserved the chance to be resurrected and revived.
We're not going to kid ourselves here, in modding terms, Dragonball Source is an old game, it was founded in 2005 and then released it's first version to the public in April 2006. Two successful years after that saw us get approx 100,000 downloads on websites that we knew about, and to get that amount again would be an epic achievement.
For now we are just concentrating on reviving the community, it's time to get it going again, get people playing the damn thing and see where that takes us. We will also make a new release of Dragonball Source soon. This may take approx a month to sort |
out but it definately will happen, 100% guaranteed... well maybe more than a months, maybe less, lets not set deadlines and dates that may end up disappointing people. As I said, we need to revive the community so this coming release will be focused on just that. We'll remove maps that cause servers to crash, and add popular community made maps, and at the same time we will also add other community based stuff... want to make a totally new map, make some new textures, or redesign the HUD? Go for it, post them on the forums and whatever is popular, we'll put it into the game.
Getting a more stable release is the aim here, and then we can move on to bigger and better things. |
